Mining-site tool platform

Tool and asset custody across issue, return and maintenance, run from a kiosk at the site gate. Four modules extended inside a long-lived interface that could not be redrawn.

Constraint

Years of interface, still in service.

Site staff knew the platform by muscle memory and the client would not fund a rebuild. New modules had to be indistinguishable from the old ones while behaving better, so the improvements landed in structure rather than in style.

What changed

The same table everywhere.

Issue, return, maintenance and assets were brought onto one table pattern: fixed column order, right-aligned numerals, one row action, and filters stated as a segmented control instead of as buttons that looked like actions. Bulk import and export were made explicit at the top of the view, where site clerks actually work.
